BROOKE

Brooke is from Helena, Montana, and studied cosmetology at R-Tech in Helena. She moved to Missoula to work in a salon in 2006, and has been with Boom Swagger since its start in 2009. Cutting and coloring hair is her creative outlet, and she loves meeting and talking with all kinds of people. Her passion is in doing the cut & color combination. “It’s satisfying to see a complete transformation and make someone feel good about themselves.”

 

 

MELINDA

Melinda’s been in Missoula since 2007 and began cutting hair at Sorella’s day spa. Melinda has been with Boom Swagger since day one. She loves the creative freedom that comes with being a stylist as well as spending each day with interesting people. Melinda’s main passions include color and relaxers for clients that want to change up the texture of their hair.

 

MARIO

Mario is from Norwalk, Connecticut, near New York City, and studied hair at Renache Academy of Hair in Norwalk.  His passion is working with curly hair and helping clients embrace and love their curls. He uses hair as his palette and loves creating great color for clients, and gives a glamorous blow-out. When Boom Swagger began, he knew that it was what Missoula was missing. “I’m excited to be a part of a team of highly talented and creative stylists who work well together.”

 

KELLY

Kelly is from Helena, Montana, went to cosmetology school at Maddios, and was an Aveda salon coach for 3 years. After moving from Sorella’s to Boom Swagger, Kelly has continued to perfect her craft of color and cut, and loves giving clients a complete look. She has 11+ years of professional experience, and has completed master artisan courses to further her practice. Making people feel good about themselves and helping them further express their individuality is what keeps her passionate about hair. “I am committed to giving a client a fantastic look when they leave my chair.“

CARLY

Another local gal, Carly is also from Helena, Montana. She went to cosmetology school at Glen Dow Academy in Spokane, Washington, as well as holding an apprenticeship at Dosha Salon in Portland, Oregon.  She is passionate about creating a whole look for clients, enjoys trends with an edge as well as clean, classic looks. “My inspiration comes from people who have a bit of a playful attitude toward aesthetic, which musicians past and present often do. Even the more extreme looks can be deconstructed for a functional, daily look.”

 

MORGAN

Morgan is from Eagle River, Wisconsin. She graduated in 2006 from the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and has lived in Missoula and the Bitterroot Valley since 2007. Of her many passions, Morgan loves creating the “Victoria’s Secret” look – big, beautiful waves and gorgeous color. Since starting with Boom Swagger in 2009, she has been fascinated with pop color and shaggy, layered cuts. “My inspiration is a mix of Giselle Bundchen’s and Lady Gaga’s styles.” She loves working with hair because everyday can hold a surprise and atleast once a day “I feel like I make someone feel better about themselves.”

KATIE

Katie grew up in the Bitterroot Valley in Corvallis, Montana, and studied at the Bitterroot School of Cosmetology. She moved to Missoula in 2008, and began working in local salons. When she heard Boom Swagger was opening, she came in to check it out. “It can all be summed up by good timing! Boom Swagger was hiring and I was looking.”  She is passionate about different aspects of  doing hair, whether a cute, cropped cut or a head full of foils.  She loves listening to people’s stories when they’re in her chair. “It’s fun meeting new clients and hearing about their lives, and it’s equally fun catching up with regular clients of mine.”

ABBY

Abby is a hometown girl, growing up right here in Missoula.   She enjoys challenging herself and her newest love is cornrows. Abby loves trying anything new in the hair industry and is inspired by film and music. She loves that her job is creative and different every day, as well as getting to chat one-on-one with amazing clients.
